Walter Carpenter

This collection of digital art came about as pure expression from the creative mind of Walter Carpenter, who left us all too soon on November 23, 2009 at the age of 27. The warm, lively patterns, hectic text-based art, and psychedelic digital pieces feel as if they’re breathing or refracting as you stare at them, said Baltimore City Paper. Walter had a curiosity and an interest in people and the world around him, which helped make him such an incredible artist and musician. He was always genuine, enthusiastic and willing to collaborate; a joyful and comforting presence. Although the world has become dimmer in his departure, the brilliance of his work remains like a shining star. The Maryland native's work has been seen at downtown gallery space Nudashank, Artscape, the Good View house, Load of Fun, Artique Underground in Frederick, MD and The Artist Gallery in Chestertown, MD as well as shows in New York City.
