Alan Gilbert

Alan's photography has provided the visual record for many of the leading architects, designers, and builders in the Mid Atlantic for over twenty five years. His work has helped his clients win awards for excellence in their fields. Magazines and newspapers in Baltimore and DC regularly feature his work on luxury interiors and gardens. His photography of the building of the US Holocaust Memorial Museum, from ground break through opening, was an integral part of the Museum's capital campaign. Scholars from around the world continue to call upon this work in  publications to tell the story of this remarkable institution. This series of panoramic cityscapes grows from Alan's access to some of the best "perches" to see Baltimore while on assignment. Educated at The University of Wisconsin and The Maryland Institute College of Art, Alan traces his decision to become a photographer to his first viewing in 1966 of Antonioni's film BLOWUP.
